An Unsuitable Boy by Karan Johar

Hello friends, with another week comes another nice piece of learning. So today I am going to do a big thing as I am going to review a very hyped book worth reading Karan Johar’s autobiography. The title itself tempted me to read this book…How can K-Jo who is a very successful and famous writer, director, actor, producer call himself an unsuitable boy? So I just started reading this book as a person who is fascinated with Bollywood and impressed with the multiple talents of K-Jo. As we all know K-Jo is someone who has very strong opinions and relationships, so this book is just like a conversation, it’s like the same way and language he uses in Koffee with Karan and other events. His has all ages and events covered.

It’s interesting to see how simple his childhood was, even after being the son of famous producer Mr. Yash Johar. We often think that these stars are born with silver spoon in their mouth but in reality even these people have their own rough patches in life. We see K-Jo as a very normal boy in his early years – the foodie who was always confused about his talent, his life. When he realises his calling he becomes the best.

In the entire book he talks very strongly about relationships, their nature and how they change. Although he was the only child of his parents but he developed some relationships which are deeper than the blood. It is very interesting to see someone with such huge success goes through the same emotions as all of us.

He has thrown lights on almost everyone who has contributed to where he is today even though now he/she is not in his life in the same way they used to be. He has talked very strongly about every aspect of his life without any fear. The much talked about affair, he has opened up about his sexuality. Afraid of moral policing in our country he has given intelligent hints for the people to guess. What makes this book interesting is the way of narration because it gives giggles and a positive vibe.

I would say it is a good read for everyone especially people who aspire and struggle to be in Bollywood. I would like to conclude that these are my views but always judge a book after a read. If you find this review helpful or you like my writings, do comment and like as they are always helpful. If you like you can buy it from here.

Kama Ayurveda Ubtan

Kama Ayurveda Ubtan soap-free body cleanser

Hi beautiful!

Remember when your grandma and ma used to prepare Ubtan for you, to make your skin clean, fresh, smooth and glowy? Sometimes, I still feel like pampering myself 🙂 but the lazy me do not want to mix those indigenous combinations everytime for the Ubtan, though my heart loves the natural ingredients so much..

Recently I got Kama Ayurveda gift pack from my friend Harshita. I am so thankful to her for gifting me this. It has an awesome Ubtan-soap free body cleanser which I love these days 🙂 I really want to share about it!! It has goodness of all those n number of natural things used in homemade Ubtan.

It is a combination of finely powdered herbs, cereals, pulses and nuts with no harmful lauryl sulphates. It softens and while effectively cleaning and gently exfoliating your skin. It can work as an alternative to soap.

PROS of this Ubtan are:-

  • It is 100 percent natural.
  • Free from artificial preservatives, colourants, fragrances, petrochemicals.
  • Easy to apply nothing much needed.

My Experience:-

  • Compared to natural Ubtans it is super easy and less time consuming 🙂
  • It works well on darken areas, can say good for tan removal.
  • All the natural ingredients make it safe to use on sensitive skin like mine.
  • I can use it everyday 🙂
  • Easy to store.

It comes in a steel box container which can be kept in washroom without worrying about damage to the product. It has a cute little wooden spoon to take out the powdered product from plastic bag.

I use it as follows:-

All you need: Kama Ayurveda Ubtan, Rose water any, Normal tap water, a clean bowl

Soap free body cleanser

Suppose if you take 10 spoons of this powder then add 10 drops of Dabur Gulabari Rose Water

Kama Ayurveda Ubtan

Add 1 tbsp of water and mix well to get the consistency as shown in the image below:

Kama Ayurveda Ubtan

Just apply the product on the moist skin. Lightly massage with circular motions. Let it sit for few seconds and then rinse it with water properly.

You will feel fresh, the blackness or tan reduces and the skin feels soft and clean.

I cannot find any, except the fragrance and cost of the product….The lack of good fragrance itself signifies the absence of any harmful lauryl sulphates. That’s all. Otherwise it is a really good product. If you want you can buy it from here.

I would love to hear from you. Share your views by adding a reply below 🙂

Take care…See Ya.. Until next time…Mrs HappyGoLucky 🙂
